Default Great places to eat in Massachusetts.

Here is a couple of great places:

For those looking for an Italian dinner, you can't go wrong with DiParma Italian Table. In West Yarmouth, MA.

Hearth 'n Kettle Restaurants is for the home cooked meal like dinners. And they are found through out South Eastern Massachusetts, just stay away for the one in West Yarmouth, MA

And finally, The Oregon Club for those looking for a great dinner in the Ashland, MA area.

The greatest place to eat in Massachusetts is Boston!

With the possible exception of Mexican food, whatever you like to eat most is at its best in Boston. For quality of food, attentiveness of service, and elegance of surroundings, I know of no restaurant in America that excels Locke-Ober. Durgin Park is touristy, but for simple, down-home food it cannot be beat (the pot roast stands alone, and do have the Indian pudding for dessert!). Additional, and equally delicious, down-home food may be had at the Blue Diner in Boston or Mr. Bartley's Burger Cottage at Harvard Square in Cambridge. And if you have a burger at Mr. Bartley's, go to Steve's (also in Harvard Square) and have an ice cream for dessert (I especially recommend the red raspberry ice cream). *Sigh* I love Boston (can you tell?).

I haven't been to Amherst in many years, but I still remember the outrageously good popovers at Judy's restaurant.

Vinny T's, formerly Vinny Testa's, has been converted to Buca Di Beppo's, which is owned by Planet Hollywood. For a few years, Vinny T's was owned by Buca, inc. then Bertucci's. This is another frightening example of the corporate takeover of America. A perfectly fine local business grows, gets new locations, and eventually some giant corporation decides that they don't want any competition so they get bought out. I cannot imagine this has made the food better.

Has anyone been to "Buca Di Beppo's" and is the menu the exact same just with a different name?

DO NOT go to Hearth n' Kettle. It is shit compared to what it was in the 90s, the food is very hit or miss. The one in Falmouth was a freaking institution and they managed to get themselves closed. Major no-no.

Pizza 1 Subs 2 in East Falmouth is good for cheap tasties, though, and Seafood Sams (several cape locations) is always a good choice.

Pedrin's is an amazing roadside seafood/dairy bar. Their onion rings are soooo good. You eat outside at brightly colored picnic tables! I dont go to North Adams very often, so Im not sure about the restaurants they have in town.

It's worth going to for the fries alone, they're a tangled briar patch of extra crispy greasy potato skins.

Cafe Brasil in Allston is another excellent restaurant that serves a ton of incredible food for rock bottom prices. The last time I was there they served a flank steak with 4 large sides for 9.99 (double up on plantains, hell yes) and I left with two take home boxes and blood that was more Guarana Antarctica than plasma.

Azama Grill is in Allston, veg friendly, open until 3am and sells crazy good middle eastern food. I like to go there after hipster d-bag shows.

They are, and because of their tangled nature you have to eat them by the handful if you don't want to spend your entire meal playing a greasy version of jenga.

Azama Grill....the only drawback to that place is if you order the really spicy stuff, be prepared to sit on the latrine for most of the upcoming hours.

Oh man, you want spicy try Lanna Thai. They've got a country ass cook there who will make weapons grade curry if you ask for it. A Sisyphean meal, burned my mouth worse than OC spray but tasted so good I couldn't stop eating it.

Kevin you already mentioned all of my fav places in Mass! LOL! Well my two cents on them for what it's worth....

Kowloon in Saugus. Best Chinese food ever. I LOVE their crab rangoon! They also have a really great Thai selection, and the atmosphere is wonderful! It's a beautiful place!!

Chunkys in Haverhill. SO fun!! It's a movie theater but also a restaurant! It's a really fun eating experience!

Fire and Ice in Boston. Only been there once, but it was great! It's an open grill type restaurant and you can choose your food when its raw and they cook it on this HUGE circular flat top grill in the middle of the restaurant and you get to watch! It's a fun place! It's a bit pricey for dinner, but the lunch specials are really affordable, and you have the option of having unlimited plate refills so you can make tons of different combos!!

I have a friend who's obsessed with the Kowloon's Saugus Wings, to the point that he orders two or three sides of the wing sauce to take home and put on his meals for the next few days.

East Ocean City in Chinatown is one of my favorite Chinese restaurants in the area, RIYL seafood.
