Storage space

Do you have enough storage space? Is there ever enough storage space?

Do you have empty drawers in your house/flat/room?

I had tons of storage space in my apartment. An entire second walk-in storage closet thing off the living room.

Now it is full of carboys fermenting beer, mead, and apfelwein. I have no more storage.

I usually stick with a terabyte. It seems to be enough for the moment being.

I just replaced my NAS on Sunday, actually.. Upgrading from 1TB to 4TB wut wut. A business that our boss used to work for closed shop and were liquidating all of their equipment. I snagged a 4TB server for $300. Oh yeah. Go me.

We have a fairly small, old, house. Was not built with much storage, the basement is damp and musty so not suitable for anything that can mildewy, and we have a son with a roughly infinite amount of Lego, nerf darts, etc. So no, we have nowhere near enough storage space. On the rare occasion where we entertain, we end up hauling a lot of junk up into our one small spare room, which is then almost unusable until the stuff migrates back into the rest of the house.

Someday we hope to have the basement floor dug up, better drainage put down and a new floor put in, giving us a much more usable basement, which would dramatically change things. But that will be $$$$.

Who needs storage space when you have perfectly valuable floor space?

I'm ridiculous enough to have a gigantic pile of pillows and blankets on the floor at the foot of my bed. Technically the pillows should be thrown out (cuz I got new ones)... but I'm keeping them on the floor because one of my dogs always sleeps on it.

Every night I can hear him making his dog-nest in the pile of pillows. Ya know, when you hear them digging at nothing and occasionally sneezing/snorting... until they finally lie down and sigh.

I went to a yard sale over the weekend and bought this wardrobe because I needed more clothing storage.

...and that's the reason I've been gone for a couple days.

Turkish Delight, much like Fruit Nectar, will forever have dirty connotations to me.

Really, tack on the word "Delight" to anything and it will sound oddly or very overtly sexual.
