Hi All- I am new to this forum, but have been in the size-acceptance movement for years. When I lived in Portland, OR, there was a wonderful store (now closed
) which sold plus- and super-size clothing. It was so much simpler to find clothing in my size (34-36.)Now I pretty much shop online. I would LOVE to like sanctuarie.com's clothing, but so far their dresses use super-flimsy fabric and they tend to run large. I thought I'd give them another try, but they sent the wrong length dress and the fabric is still too thin for my taste. Those of you who shop there: do you find their sizes run a bit large? The princess-style sleeveless dress I just purchased is too large, too short, and the arm holes are way, way too large. Have y'all seen any similar dresses available in super-sizes that use a heavier-weight knit fabric? (I don't really care for slinky.) I am considering going to the NAAFA convention in August just for a day to shop. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. And I apologize if this has already been discussed. I just didn't want to wade through all the posts. Best- Helen |
