I am 31 years old and live in Vienna, in Austria (Europe). It is a very small country in the middle of Europe, southeast of Germany and north of Italy. Our country is similar to Colorado with high mountains, wonderful seas and a lot of wood. I love to live here but would like to have longer summers and no winter at all.
My hobbies are: going out with good friends, have fun, enjoy the sun in summer, read good books and listen to rockmusic, and, of course, as you can see from my pics - good meals (of all kind and in any quantity).
I have been plump since I can remember and went through a lot of diets, which didn't really work! At the age of 20 my weight was at 260 lbs., five years later at 330 and now at 518! I am 5'1" tall, and my measurements are: 73 - 62 - 95 (sitting 105).
As I have been a big woman for a lot of years now I learned to ignore the silly glances and the stupid words behind my back when I walk on the streets. It doesn't hurt me in any way, as I am at a point now to accept my size (although it hasn't been easy in my teenage years and early twenties).
I have some really good friends and they do not see me as an alien from outher space, they see the woman behind. They treat me as a serios person and I am very proud to have these friends.
As you can imagine I have troubles finding clothes for my size (there aren't nearly as many big women in Austria as in the US!) But the situation is getting better from year to year, some BBW-Shops have opened lately.
There are no organisations as the NAAFA or serious magazines like "Dimensions" here, but there are some little groups of fat women and men, trying to install a similar supporting system as you have. Let's hope they, or better - we - succeed!
