How does it work?
- We're using MacWebCam from Parasoft to capture frames from a Sony
CamCorder into a Power Mac 8500. The HTML document then redraws the screen
everry so often, always showing the newest picture. Currently, the frames
are updated every 10 to 30 seconds.
What can it be used for?
- Right now, the camera just shows folks working in the Dimensions office.
But the possibilities are enticing. For example,
- we could feature Dimensions models live (if they're in our office,
that is)
- we could establish a video schedule and show videos (of course,
you'd only see one frame every 10 to 30 seconds)
- we could do "world premieres" of a new issue of Dimensions
- or whatever
