Would You Support Military Intervention In Syria?

No, I don't support it, especially if we have to attack alone with no support from the UK or France. I'll wait for Congress to return on the 9th to see how these debates shake out.

    One Step Forward

^^^ I have specific religious and personal belief about what a marriage is, what it entails and what it does not. I don't believe that marriage is a constitutional right, but a religious rite (sacrament) and should only be between a man and a woman with any other pairings not being a marriage...

    One Step Forward

^^^ I have heard many LGBT people argue that even if a civil union gave them the same benefits as a marriage, but just under a different name, they would still not be ok with it. It is all about the term "marriage" for them, which I do not think should be applied to a same-sex union.

    One Step Forward

They do not want a binding contract, which they could get through a civil union. They want a marriage. I am not saying that they cannot get married because in some states they can; I am just saying that, in my personal opinion, they should not be allowed to get married. Just like you are saying...

    One Step Forward

^^^ The bottom line is that legally, marriage is not a right so LGBT people should not be able to demand that the federal or their state government grant them. I have many personal and religious beliefs about marriage which makes same-sex marriage something I do not personally support. No, I...

    One Step Forward

I agree, especially that marriage is not a right. Especially not a fundamental, constitutionally protected civil right. You have the right to love whomever you want, but marrying that person is not your right. So you agree that it is a privilege and not a right?

    Winter Olympics 2014

    1. Not everyone in our own nation agrees on LGBT civil rights issues. If the USA were to boycott or take a stand at the Winter Games then these actions would still not present our entire nation. In fact, I bet if you surveyed people nation-wide about boycotting the Olympics over LGBT issues...

    Winter Olympics 2014

^^^ Well ... I do not want to make this into argument about my personal views on LGBT civil rights and I don't want to upset people, so I will just say that I get your point statistically.

    Winter Olympics 2014

^^^ How does anti-LGBT legislation equate to "potential genocide" (given the definition of genocide)?

    Winter Olympics 2014

Do you feel that any country, not just the US, should be boycotting the games over LGBT issues?
