    Its been almost four months. I'm down about 50 pounds since surgery and 90 pounds total. No adverse effects of any note. My diabetes is under control. So I guess things are going well.

    The vast majority of the world's population are not destitute -- they may not have a three car garage but they're not destitute. Also, its been my experience that people outside the good old USA pay more attention to international events and are much better informed.
