    I still follow past members of NAAFA on social media, and from what I can piece together, there was also a some fallout between NAAFA and the supersized community.

    Unfortunately I agree. It is too bad since they are the most well know fat advocacy groups. By the way, you can find the chapters are only found in their newsletters.

    Yeah. I also noticed that after 2001 NAAFA hit some hard times. While BBW social events kept going, under independent organizers, one ran by NAAFA disappeared. The good news is that NAAFA has been able to rebuild a few chapters.

    However it’s not just models. Take Jamie Lopez who opened the plus sized salon in Vegas. In the ads and interviews she did, is was body positive. She got a lot of body shaming comments, from the internet. And, if the latest news is right, the negativity finally got to her.

    First according to your own link, the bill was updated in 1973, but was first passed in 1941. Second, while I believe the law has been suspended by congress, it is trivia, because the law still allows him to deploy the military for up to 60 days.
