    2013 Singles Palooza

I've been away from Dims for a few years but am checking back in to report that ... wait for it ... I'm still single. But I'm far less uptight about it than I was a few years ago. I don't feel like I've failed at something like I once supposed. Could this be ... age-induced...

Childhood memories from the 40 somethings

My memories feature the following -- no frigging seatbelts, no frigging helmets, uncensored Warner Brothers cartoons, lead paint everywhere, sharp metal edged toys, smoking in hospitals, no world overtaken by extreme political correctness, no 17 million bottles of hand sanitizer everywhere...

    dating in your mid 40s

I haven't dated in so long (and barely dated "back in the day" anyway) that I doubt I'd know how to be on one now in my 40s hahahaha. But it's all good. Whatever happens happens.

    What Are You Into?

Music -- listening and playing. I've been in a bunch of bands (bass guitar and keys) but right now am taking a break from gigging. There's the occasional jam or recording project for fun ... the rest of the time I'm listening, once in a while composing. Other than that, I dig good movies and...

What have you learned in your 40's?

Oh, y'know, it's goin'. Still fighting the good fight. You?

What have you learned in your 40's?

I have learned that 90% of the stuff I used to get almost suicidally uptight about a couple years ago doesn't amount to jack fuck now. Aging brings a certain degree of perspective and relative calm. Or at least not giving a rat's ass like I used to. (Hi Rusty, remember me?)

    2010 Singles Thread

So here I am reporting in. I'm just as single today as I was the first day I posted here in god knows what year. I don't even know what circumstance to blame it on anymore. Sad thing is I'm toying with the idea of becoming resigned to it. This is not how it should be. Fortunately I'm silly...

    Instruments!

Started noodling on the piano when I was 3 or 4, played flute and drums in school, took up electric and acoustic guitar but can basically just do rhythm stuff, been playing bass guitar since about 1985. I've been in half a dozen bands as a bass player, recorded a few CDs with my last band...

Recent Picture of You Part X !!!!!!!!!!! :D

Thanks so much Shosh. Your pics are awfully cute too! Well, Imfree, I was that allegedly "cool" bass player. But now I'm playing keyboards in another band. The previous one broke up. Thanks GEF :) Thank you very much Mizz :)

    Oh, Oatmeal!

    1. Can you cook oatmeal in the microwave? I don't have the patience for stovetop. 2. Can you use either milk or water, or does it have to be water?

    Chicken Wings

I like just the drummettes, fried until they're so crispy that if you dropped one on the floor, it would shatter. My favorite sauce is buffalo and bbq mixed together ... buffacue I guess. I like the wings dressed by the sauce, not swimming in it. I dip them in blue cheese dressing, the less...
