    That's a great list! I've read a lot of The Wrinkle in Time sequence, and they were great. One author you might add is Connie Willis, who has won a ridiculous number of Hugo and Nebula awards.

    Oh, nice! I'm interested in a law-enforcement career, so that might be a cool book! Blade Runner is another of my all-time favorites, and is also a detective-fiction/sci-fi book; it's based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep."
