Hi there, I'm Derek.
I am a software developer, amateur video game developer, pianist, and aspiring fat activist.

-Likes hiking, biking, skiing, golfing, and dancing like a novice
-Has slightly hipsterish tendencies
-Is a nerd who loves all kinds of fantasy
-Is a media critic and a fan of linguistics
-Has a soft spot for Japanese culture
-Is mostly sincere and sometimes sarcastic (ponder that one for a moment)
-Is deficient in most sports and pop culture trivia
I came out as a fat admirer and a feeder after 15 years of self denial. These identities are a part of who I am and I am all the happier for it! Now I'm doing my best to make up for all those years lost for my psychosexual development.
