[Authors note: the future holds many things, so, yet again, I get into an imaginary time machine and head to the not-to distant future. enjoy]

The Revival
by Irish Bard

Part 1: Reawakening

Marcus looked out at the world with frozen eyes. his mind blank, his body in a huge ice cube. He sat in nothingness, blank to the outside world. cyrogenically frozen, he hovered in the abyss for eternity, never moving, never breathing, never blinking, a corpse alive, waiting for a moment to come where he could be let out into a new world.

Then came the beginning. the slight melting of the ice, ready for him to come out soon, he didn't know when, he didn't know where, he didn't know...

Then came the news. implanting of events he hadn't seen or experienced, but he was experiencing them now. his half frozen mind began to comprehend the smell of gunpowder of the bitter fighting on the streets of London, hear the groaning of the machines of the enemy as they battled S.S.B.B.W forces, see the casualities and the loss of life.

He witnessed the Y plague, grown, healthy men dropping dead around him, whilst the sea level rose to cover the lands beneath him. The Cure followed, but too late, as only 1% of men remained to this day, he learned, and the land was lost under sea, leaving only Islands. Whatever future he found himself with, he half thought in his frost-bitten skull, it wasn't a pleasant one.

And then came his rebirth. unfrozen, naked, dripping and cold, he cascaded out into the new future. Water flowed around him as he gasped for air, good, clean, crisp, fresh air, it tasted so good. Peeling back his long wet locks he looked around. The hi-tech institute was certainly got an upgrade since he was in there last, they didn't have the robots, but it was also smaller, with no additional corridors.

"Where am i?" he asked, he felt like a bewildered child, all this new stuff, all this strange information bombarding his system. "When am I?"

"Marcus, you are in the year 2201, May the 14th, and it's a Thursday." said a voice. "You are currently in my cryogenics lab on Bay Village on Isling Island. you'll recognise it better as an area of London called Islington."

"Islington...oh yes, I remember, I was... wait a moment, who are you?!"

"Me," came the voice again, "I am just the village doctor, the primary scientific advisor to the village."

A figure stepped out into the doorway, standing over him. an enormous woman, her white lab coat unbuttoned, revealing a skimpy bikini and fishnet stockings down her tree-trunk legs, the bottom heavy scientist looked immense and stunning at the same time, her chocolate brown hair tied back, her goggles pulled back to reveal on blue eye and on mechanical one. Marcus felt his FA senses tingling. "My name is Doctor Maria."

"Woah..." Marcus said, "Erm... I know it sounds rather childish, but I think I'm in love with you."

"Don't throw away your heart on me," laughed Dr Maria, handing him an enormous bath robe and helping him up, "I'm sure there are plenty of other girls around in the village for you... hey, the village is made up of girls, mostly with better figures than me."

"Yeah, but in my eyes, Dr," said Marcus toweling himself off, trying to land this FA catch of the month, "you know, bigger is better."

"Oh, well in that case, most of them have better figures than me," Dr Maria returned with a smile. "But don't worry, I'm sure you'll get around everyone, including me, within the next few months."

"What? Why?"

"Marcus, you remember that little information about the Y plague, wiped out 99% of the male population?"

"Yeah... wait, does that mean?"

"You're the only guy on this Island, my friend."

Marcus's mind was racing. An Island of beautiful, huge women, all to himself, this was going to be great.

"Before you get down to the universal shagging, Marcus," Dr Maria cut his thoughts short, "there's someone who you need to see."
