So I am a little concerned about my son, he is 5 and just started school. Since he has started school he has developed an apparent distaste for overweight people. It is a problem because both my Ex, his mother who he lives with, and my current Girlfriend, are overweight.
He has apparently been teasing kids at school and yelling at his mother to lose weight. Oddly he gets along really well with my girlfriend who is the largest in the family. I never thought of him being shallow or narrow minded, I always thought of him as very accepting of others, but I suppose this is typical stigma that gets drummed in at school? But I thought it’s a bit young for stigma to start playing on the mind. Is this a weird question? I’m sorry if it is. I’m just not sure how to approach the subject with my son.
Thanks
