I'm looking for a story about an agressive corporate up and comer similar to "A Respectable Size" by BoboTheHobo. This other story has a happier ending - IIRC the mnain character still gets fired, but the assistant/feeder uses the opportunity as more of a retirement so the main character can grow much larger.
