    Active Admin/Mod?

Howdy, I was trying to get a hold of a moderate. I PMed a few people but couldn't get a reply. Are there any mods still active on this board? Thanks.

Coming Out of FA Closet - Worse Experiences

I think the only truly "bad" experiences were explaining my preferences to my now ex-wife. But there is a reason she is the ex-wife after all.

Coming Out of FA Closet - Worse Experiences

Hmm. I'm relatively "thin" by today's standards and I've never had that experience. Interesting.

    Well-Rounded Vegas Bash

What sort of events go on at this? Was interested in going with my wife. Maybe vending if you have vendors.

Fat activism as a public good? (Fa/FFA perspective )

Agreed. Although I think the social stigma of being attracted to plus-sized women is really sad.

Fat activism as a public good? (Fa/FFA perspective )

Not quite the same thing, but I wish more people would speak up about being an "FA."

    BBW events with live music?

Thanks for bumping it. I'd still like to get my wife's band at an event. She is the front woman, bassist, and a BBW bombshell! https://www.facebook.com/pages/DangerCakes/112290185503419

Why do female-oriented shows and magazines teach women to dislike their bodies?

Dwarves are non-human creatures though and are often played for laughs sadly.

Why do female-oriented shows and magazines teach women to dislike their bodies?

I feel like genre fiction or atleast comic books are VERY guilty of a unified body type. Not just for women, but for men as well.

Why do female-oriented shows and magazines teach women to dislike their bodies?

I don't know if this relates, but I do feel like my wife is objectfied is weird ways that her thinner friends are not.

Is there any fat acceptance left in society at large?

While I am not a woman or even a "BHM" I just want to see more types of people represent in fiction. People are not uniform in appearance and there are lots of different tastes in what is "attractive." So why doesn't the media play to that more? With comics, it really bothers me that so...

hard wired from birth to admire fat...I know I am. How about you?

    While I don't think it's a "choice" I do think it's actually a really complex issue.

Is there any fat acceptance left in society at large?

At the risk of being shameless, I am already doing my own tiny part. ;) http://www.dimensionsmagazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100317 But honestly, I'd like to see more people doing things like this. Folks need to be outspoken and honest. And that would create REAL change.
