    ~XWG, Sci-Fi - Extreme weight gain…in space.

    Beyond

[Author’s Note:] Oh gods, it's good to be back. I've been away for a while, and It's time I did something. Time for a space adventure.

    Chapter 1: Lift Off

Rhianna zipped up her standard issue uniform, the stretchy and cushiony fabric fitting over her form snugly and securely, it’s whiteness gleamed against the light of the morning sun. Today was the big day, and she was thrilled to be a part of the team. All 90 members of the crew were ready to go into stasis on one of the longest expeditions ever undertaken before.

One being the key word, as there were three ships docked and ready to go. Space Traveler Phobos was to be launched from earth and to be connected with the warp drive next to mars, sending the ship hurtling towards the new planet, dubbed “Great Terra.” The discovery of three different planets that not only had water, but on closer inspections, had an nitrogen, oxygen atmosphere, had rocked society as they knew it, and now, Rhianna was going to be one of the first people to set foot on this new planet.

    “All set, Rhi?”

Rhianna looked up to see Cheng poke his head around the corner. Tali, the girl behind Rhianna, screamed.
    “Cheng, knock first!”

    “Ok, ok... Ready for it?”

Rhianna smiled. They had all worked and trained together for this, and despite his antics, Cheng was a decent guy, as well as a world class mathematician. Tali was a nice girl, and a biologist without peer. Rhianna was an engineer by trade, and worked on designing most of the test rockets for this mission.
    “Oh yes, I’m so excited!”

They walked to the shuttle together, the huge, ship ready to go, white and gleaming, full of equipment for exploration, as well as food for the journey, possible a lot longer after that. They stepped inside to a cheer of people. Last few moments before being locked away in stasis, with only the computers for company.
“Alright, ladies, listen up!” That was Colonel Brookes, the leading commander in the operation, a giant of a man who was a veteran of various wars. “Great Terra, as you all know, is a low gravity world, and so in order to prevent any undue accidents, we need to take certain precautions. You’ve all taken the Healthlock capsule. That should keep your health as it is now, so the process that we do to you over your nap time might be a bit disorientating, but it’s for the better!”

“Oh god, I know what’s coming,” Rhianna said. “Any guesses.”

“Well, the space suits are made of some of the most stretchy fiber known to man,” Tali replied. “Besides, Rhi, I think you’d look cute with a bit extra.”

“It’s not really an issue,” Cheng said. “Although, this is the first time I have been properly fit.”

Oh well, thought Rhianna, if sacrificing about a figure she never really cared about was the way to achieve her dream, then so be it. Climbing up the ladder to her pod, she looked around. A number of crew members were concerned, one even outright objecting to it. She climbed into the stasis pod, feeding the tube into her mouth and lay back. Slowly, she found herself drifting off the sleep, dreaming about the new adventure awaiting her.

Rhianna woke up from hibernation, feeling groggy. The gas was dissipating, leaving only oxygen in its wake. The refreshing air smelt vaguely of pine, obviously someone’s idea of a joke. The pod’s activation sequence began to flash, stutter, and finally when online.

“Good morning, Rhianna O’hara, age 31, engineer first class. You might be feeling some vague sickness, and so the receptacle on your left is for any refuse you wish to expunge.”

“Terrific,” muttered Rhianna, rubbing the sides of her nose. “How far are we from the destination?”

“Approximately 4 million miles above the planets surface. We will be sending down exploratory pods in about 1 hours time, will you wish to sign up to be part of the exploration team?”

    “Yes, why not,” Rhianna said.

She looked down. Not bad, she thought. Back on earth, she had seen women this size. Mid 300lbs range, just a wonderful lot of layers of fat all over, with no particular area getting any preference. She patted her belly, smiling to herself. She had never been too fussed on her appearance to start with, and the added boobage and wider hips were an improvement. The suit had kept up with her growth, but it was feeling a little tight, enhancing the over all sense of size. Even her arms had become fat, it was all quite astonishing.

“Do you wish to explore the ship in zero gravity?”

Now that was tempting. None of the training exercises really would compare to experiencing 0 G, and it was something that Rhianna always wanted to do. Besides, the mission briefing said there might be no return, so this was her last chance. “Open hatch!” she said with a smile. The door opened, and Rhianna flew out, arching and eddying around the vast quarters of the ship. She spun and twisted, weightless in the gravity vacuum, giddily moving like a recently freed bird. Spying Tali and Cheng, she moved herself over to them.

    “Enjoy it so far?”

“Hell yeah!” Cheng replied, “0 G, finally! Even if it does mean sacrificing my figure.” The 300 something lbs man then did a pose that would out-camp Alan Carr.

Rhianna giggled. To be fair, Cheng looked reasonably good with the extra weight, as did Tali. Rhianna did a double take, Especially Tali, and if Rhianna had to go gay for someone, it would, at this point in time, would have to be Tali. There was something about her apple figure, full bosomed body that was really, really hot.

“Are you two on the exploration teams?”
“Yeah, we were hoping to get a 3-person team with you. Come on, quickly before the pods go.”

“But we have an hour! I want more 0 G!”

“Ok, Rhianna, we’ll wait, but don’t blame me if we get into the wrong pods or something.”

Rhianna smiled, and returned to having fun where there was no way of telling if there was an up or down.

The pods plummeted to greater terra like a meteor storm, the outsides glowing white hot. Inside, the three, Cheng, Tali and Rhianna were strapped in. Even with the suits, Rhianna felt her body move upwards, her new breasts blocking her vision of the others, which was probably for the better.

There was a terrific jolt as the pod began to descent more sedately. Rhianna looked around. Cheng and Tali all looked badly shaken up, and Rhianna felt like whatever was in her stomach due to the stasis should be all over the floor. There was an almighty clunk as the pod landed, whilst all three of them lay there, exhausted. Cheng was the first to act.

“Engage schematics, detail other landing pods locations.”

“Pods 34 and 47 are within the 1 km radius.”

“Cheng, shouldn’t we look outside, first?” Rhianna asked. “Activate surround viewing.”

The jungle stretched around the ship like a canvas of greenery. Thousands of trees, all laden with fruit, seemingly fresh, most certainly appetizing. Rhianna could feel her mouth watering at the sight of it. The sky was blue and clear, it looked like a fantastic day.

“Well, certainly looks like a nice day,” she said.

“Ok, so what did we pack?” Tali asked, they were outside the pod, and they had found some kind of root vegetable on the ground. Cheng brought out the Toxin-analyzer and gave the vege a quick scan.

“No built up toxin’s in here,” he said “Should be safe to eat. Rhi, would you mind getting one of those fruits down?”

Rhianna wandered up to one of the nearby trees and grabbed hold of it. It felt strong, hardy, like the redwoods back home. She gave it a slight shake.

She looked in amazement as the whole structure quivered and rattled. Thousands of fruits rained down on them, some bursting with ripeness. Rhianna let go of the tree trunk to see the hand-prints she left in there.

    “What just happened?!”

“Something might be in the air,” Cheng said.” I’m not a meteorologist, but they only mentioned nitrogen-oxygen atmosphere, we don’t know what else is in this atmosphere, or how anything else in affecting us.” Picking up one of the fruit, he scanned it, “Again, nothing toxic to human taste buds.”

“Let’s get as much as we can!” Tali said, excitedly. Rhianna looked at her queryingly, so Tali pressed on. “We’re scientists, our job is to experiment with information and evidence. We have an abundance of new information to experiment with. How will this new food affect our bodies, what’s in the air that gives Rhianna increased strength? Come on, don’t say you’re not interested.”
