Chapter 1: The Chaos Begins

Jennifer walked down the hallway, her eyes looking down, trying to simply walk on through the day without anyone trying to make fun of her. She didn't try to give them material, but her current situation wasn't exactly helping matters. She wasn't the best dressed, her jumper was patchwork and her glasses were on tinny little frames that slid down her nose. She was awkward and shy, a trait that was detrimental to her life, as all that ever happened was to be picked on and ridiculed by more prominent member of society. To top it all off in the worst possible way, She was fat.

She was a bottom heavy kind off fat, where a thick and baggy t-shirt couldn't fix it, but where jeans and skirts looked as though they were going to blow off her meaty thighs with a mere twitch. Her bottom shock with each tread, the two cheeks rolling like boulders. Wide hips made through getting through the door difficult and sitting in the desks even worse.

"Hey, wobble bottom!"

"Oh no," thought Jennifer.

"erm... hey Gretchen!"

Gretchen marched forward. a dominant bitch in a pack of bitches.

"You come off the bus or eat it!"

"Yeah... very funny, Gretchen."

"Is that sarcasm?!"

"Erm... no..."

"You know I can't stand sarcasm! lowest form of wit is right about it!"

"Look, Gretchen, I wasn't being..."

"Who gave me a name like Gretchen anyway?!"

"What?"

"You heard me? Who decided that one of the central characters name is
Gretchen. How inappropriate?! What were they thinking?!"

"Erm... Gretchen... what are you talking about?"

"I'm talking about the plot for this entire story! I mean what's the deal with you getting two paragraphs describing you how you are, whilst I'm only given a sentence?! And your buildup portrays you as some kind of underdog heroine, sympathetic and sorrowful, when "Fat nerdy girl" would have sufficed!"

"Gretchen, that's mean!" Jennifer looked around at the others, but no-one was moving.

"Looks like the background characters have just frozen up again." muttered Gretchen.

"And why am I portrayed as "Dominant Bitch"? Tell me that?! I give to charity, I help out at the local orphanage, and I'm generally nice to everyone! Why am I lumped with such a stereotypical role?!"

"Well, you haven't been nice to me," Jennifer replied back.

"Oh come on, you're hardly miss guiltless yourself. I've seen you around "Hard-up" michael, playing the tease, even to me that's cruel!"

"Look, Gretchen, you've lost it, will you just sit down and relax!"

"Am I the only one who sees that we are living in a 2-dimensional story with fairly unfulilling endings?!"

"Yes!"

"Look around you, Jennifer! just look!"

Jennifer did look, and all she could see was white. no bottom, no top, just white all around them.

"What on..."

"I've discovered that we are alll living in a 2-dimensional story with stupid and ridiculous names and unreasonable backgrounds! And I am going to do something about it! I'm going to see the author!"
