While the article remarks Bells Palsy is sometimes caused by a viral infection, it overlooks that central nervous system damage can also be caused by vitamin B12 deficiencies, like those caused by malnutrition based WLS procedures like the Fobi Pouch (a Roux-en-Y-like procedure) Carnie had initially.

Since she admitted to the visible damage (the face drooping of Bells Palsy) it makes me wonder what other non-visible CNS issues she is having (tingling, loss of feeling, or weakness). At least the initial Bell's Palsy has passed.
