    The current Nissan Armada:

Note the reverse-slant C-pillar, and the dropped roofline over the rear section, with a rack on it.

Now let us hearken back to the Nash Rambler Classic station wagon:

    COINCIDENCE?

    Hmm...

Retro is big. Sales in America require some kind of classic styling elements.

So when the hell are tail fins coming back? That's what I want more of. TAIL FINS.

They are waiting for someone to come up with some meaningless techno-speak babble to justify their return...and the subsequent price increase.

But really, they are back...just horizontal...spoilers. Most of them on street vehicles are as necessary for down force as the fins were for directional stability.

Tail fins! Sure, I want those, but I also want those little blue lights they put in your tail lights (Blue dots.)

    Now that's class.

(The horn goes beep, beep, beep!)

Oh, I actually owned a Nash Metropolitan once. A 1958 mini-Nash....paid way too much for a rotted out, but amazingly cute, chunk of motorized rust.
    Awww...memories.

I've always wanted a Metropolitan...or a Morris Minor convertible. Actually, I think some car company could cash in on the retro craze big time with an updated metropolitan look-sorta-like.

Here was my Met *sniff* *sniff*

Needed more TLC than I could offer. Sold it to a couple who have restored several cars and one day it is going to be stunning!

Cool!!! Those line drawings have me thinking along the lines of the career path once started and abandoned many moons ago....Automotive design. Now I have these mental images of how to update that classic design.

Brings back memories of my old MGs. I'll have to see if I can find the pic of my once upon a time pride and joy.

My first car looked a lot like that, except it was a four-seater - a 1958 Hillman Minx:
