Seeing all of these cats reminds me of something that happened to me years ago. The students in my Biblical Hebrew class had a collection to buy me a birthday present. They bought me a ticket to go to the Zion Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately owned zoo, near Whangarei. It specialized in big cats. It was a rather expensive present. I'm left wondering to this day, if my students wanted to give me the thrill of a lifetime or were hoping that I might meet an early demise, which would release them from the torture of Biblical Hebrew grammar.
