Thriving circuitously
There may be a long-sunk thread that addresses this, but perhaps it's worth asking again...
I'd be really interested to know, especially from anyone who has put on a significant amount of weight or achieved whatever quantitative or qualitative goals they were after when they started, whether you find a satisfaction in being fat, not just in getting fatter...
...to put it another way, is there value in the destination as well as in the journey? Do you feel happier because you've become something you like more, or only because you have gone with your desire to get bigger.
It feels like quite an important question for me. There are limits for all of us, and if it's only worth it for the excitement of the journey, that seems a high price to pay. On the other hand, if there's something about being the size you end up that feels good in itself, that's another matter...
