-~BBW, Magic, Drama, ~SWG - Mary fleshes out her world, and takes on a far different one

Gastromancer: Demons
by Irish Bard

(Author's Note: Another Gastromancer, and one which I am going to delve into the universe of Gastromancer a bit more, as well as Mary's past and her character. I have mentioned Demons in passing in Mary's previous adventures, but I think its time they give a presence in the world. Hopefully you won't mind the story-centralness of this piece, I feel that Mary's world needs to be fleshed out a bit more)

(just as a note for moderators, I haven't actually classified the subjects of the story, and the first chapter probably won't give any baring on the final outcome, so if you could postpone the classification until after its finished and then decide, I will be very grateful)

Chapter 1: Flashbacks

The Theater was spacious and gaudy, decorated with lots of Occult imagery and sigils, Lanterns being held by Skeletons with glowing eye sockets of sulfur. Mary knew that a lot of these were ineffectual and that all they did was make the room look atmospheric, but it was a nice touch, and it was good to see some amateurs really tackling the subject with so much enthusiasm.

She was in her seat, which was a little tight on her 250lb frame, but was comfy apart from that, in the second gallery of the theater, third row from the front with a full view of the crowd and the performers. Her friend, Helena, had advised that she stayed for a while in New York before taking her plane to Britain in her world tour, and offered to come to a show.

Helena was next to her. She was small, chubby (though she looked petite compared to Mary's prodigious bulk), with short black hair and blue eyes. She was also a practicing Gastromancer, and whilst she hadn't reached Mary's magical prowess, she was making progress. Unlike Mary, however, she was a sophisticated person of high (or at least she liked to think) standing, dressed in a fine blue gown for this occasion, contrasting with the mass of black which was Mary's wardrobe.

"Isn't this exciting?" she said, touching Mary's arm. Incidental, Helena was a lesbian, but rather a closet one. The show that they were seeing were a group of magicians, called the "Hallows". Each were comically characterful, from the tribal Gastromancer (which Mary took slight offense at, despite the impressive fire breathing technique), to the elegant Pyromancer, dazzling the audience with her angelic features and ability to make fire.

"It's ok, i suppose," Mary said disgruntledly. To be true, she didn't mind it. despite their amateurish level of magic, they managed to use it in a way to amaze and entertain, and she felt that they were doing a good job of it. Certainly the audience were lapping it up, calling for encores upon encores. It was ironic, Mary thought, that the most powerful Witches had been rejected and even killed because of their power, whilst mere apprentices like these were wowing audiences with their simplistic efforts at magic.

"Oh, just because you know you can do better!" Helena snorted. "Oh look, the leader's coming on, isn't he dreamy," she said with forced realism, Mary could clearly see that she had her eyes on the Pyromancer.

The leader, a Tall Shadomancer dressed in a stereotypical witches outfit, but with his heavily muscled chest on full display, walked out onto the centre stage.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" he boomed, "We have one last act to perform! We are going to give you a round of applause without clapping our hands!"

Lots of the audience members oohed at this point, but Mary knew they were going to use Ligomancy somewhere onstage, replicated hands to clap. She had a look around the group, not one of them was a Ligomancer. Did that mean that the Leader was multi-talented in magic?

"Of course, without working all together we can't make this happen, so, ready team, one, two and!" a single pair of hands appeared on the stage and began to clap. It was a solitary, slow, mocking clap, like something very bad was going to happen next.

Suddenly the air became thicker than treacle. Mary looked around the Audience, who were beginning to move restlessly in their seats. the Hallows were onstage, looking around nervously, had something gone wrong?

"Mary, I'm worried!" muttered Helena, "Lets leave, before something bad happens."

"Something has happened!" Mary replied. She popped a mint into her mouth, to use a concentration spell, and help her to get her head straight.

Something was tampering with her magic, as a bunch of flowers appeared in her lap.

"Mary, you shouldn't have."

"That wasn't me!" Mary replied. She now saw the circle. A circle with thirteen dots around it broke into the stage, roughly 13 foot in diameter. The hallows stepped back, distinctly unnerved, positively terrified as the inside of the circle dropped and Strange creatures pored out.

"Demons. They just have to be, thought Mary, beings of pure magic, living on a plane different to ours but connected by magic. There was something malign about them, always predatory. A Toad-like demon grabbed a man with one of its many limbs, the man's features instantly becoming fluid and ever changing, faces, arms, noses, nipples all moving around in flux.

A Bull-like demon hefted his huge sword and sliced the Anomancer in two, using his other hand to create a grotesque puppet out of the top half as the poor woman screamed to see her self in this state. They didn't specify whom they killed amongst the normal humans, but left each other their particular mage for those particular demons.

"Helena, we have got to get out of here, now!" yelled Mary, "We---"

Helena was being fattened up. A crocodilian demon had jumped on her front and shoved a strange load down her throat, pumping stranger liquid into her. her eyes bulged as she slowly started to grow. her hands flew first to her bloating breasts, then to her fattening thighs, then to her sizable stomach, groaning as she did so. More she grew, bursting out of her dress, leaving her a naked and burgeoning mountain of flesh.

There was no beauty to this growth, as Mary's magic had done previously, Stretch marks, Cellulite, Greasy and sweaty skin, chapped and peeling legs, uncontrollable farting, all this didn't bother Helena as she was continually stuffed. Mary backed away with awe as she finally reached a critical mass, an Grand figure of Gluttony, Blob-like. The demon detached itself and grabbed her arm, Helena too oblivious to notice the pain and the blood, as the creature dragged her to the hole. Mary looked and saw something huge rise out of the circle.

its mouth was enormous, its wings were grand, its arms were muscled, its hands were clawed, its eyes burnt green with hatred. It turned slowly, all that could be seen of its face was the eyes, everything else was thrown into shadow. It pointed a finger at Mary, marking her out, selecting her for some reason, and Mary began to scream. It opened its mouth, the voice it spoke in was a dark and as rumbling as thunder, with all the grating of nails on a black board.

"WITCH!" it said, and reached forward.

-------------------------------------

Mary awoke and screamed. She was bright red, soaking wet with sweet and shaking like a leaf, making her 200lb body wobble in time. She looked at the time on her bed-side table. 4:30am, almost 3 hours before she got up. She could smell the city of Prague outside her window, even this early in the morning. She fell back down on her bed, and pulled the covers back over her chin. It was all just a nightmare, all just a memory.

All just demons playing tricks on her.
