So, in the short time I've lived with Ryan, I've learned a few things about saving money. Given, I'm cheap. I admit it. I like good food though. And let's face it; most of us on Dim love food, but like saving. Add your tips because I'm interested in learning more! A few Ryan and I have learned:

Shop around. Buy the vendor/prepackaged items like Coke, Keebler, Lay's, Temptations (cat treats) etc. from the less fancy places; they're almost always cheaper. Wal-Mart Chips Ahoy: $2 a pack. Safeway: $3.69 a pack.

Frozen meat is just as good as fresh, IMO, and much cheaper. I can get 4 lbs. of chicken breast for $8.99 at Safeway, or I can pay $3 to $6 a lb. for fresh chicken breast at Safeway.

Deli sandwiches: Subpar. Overpriced. Salty.
