Interesting to see how far frappé has spread now. Using condensed milk is not uncommon in Greece though. Hey, i was there when it got invented. Almost.

I pretty much only drink iced coffee, which I am seriously addicted to! I usually go to Tim Hortons, since I work there. I usually get a small, tripple tripple with splenda and a shot of french vanilla. It's basically heaven. :]

Are you my husband, incognito? He takes it the same way ... I've never been able to figure out why he'll brew a fresh, hot, delicious pot of coffee ... and then let it sit for half an hour before he drinks it.

Starbucks included an insert in the paper (Phila. Inquirer) today that had a card good for a free 12oz. iced-brewed coffee every Wednesday from today until July 23rd. Says good at participating locations in CT, DC, DE, MA, MD, ME, MI, NH, NJ, NY, OH, PA, RI, VA, VT and WV; so perhaps check today's newspapers in any of those states for a similar circular. :)

Haha, I honestly have no idea...I think it comes from having the roof of my mouth burned to many times...and my propensity to drink a ton of it. :)

I only drink iced coffee. I love things like Dunkin Doughnut Coffee Coolatta, Mocha Iced Coffee. In fact the Mc Donalds Iced hazelnut coffee with a tab extra sugar hits me just right :)

I take a little coffee with my milk and sugar as my dad says. For a standard mug, I take 2 to 3 scoops of sugar and lots of milk. If I had my druthers, it would be a light roast. And it is sugar or the Splenda equivalent because artificial sweetener gives me a migraine or a headache depending on which one sweetener it is.

I like strong coffee...the kind that makes your teeth grit and eyes roll back in your head...strong enough to chew. And, if my sweet tooth is acting up I'll drop in a tablespoon of sugar. I have an espresso maker that I use more than my regular coffee pot. I think of it as cardio excercise without a treadmill!!!! (Note, I am NOT a doctor so do not take this as sound medical advice.)

Out of curiosity, how is Starbucks regarded in America? They arrived down here a few years ago but don't seem to have made much of an impact against the independents let alone the other local franchises. "It's coffee Jim, but not as we know it".

I used to go to a Turkish restaurant in CT when my Dad was in Hospice and I visited. I tried the Turkish coffee...sounds just like you described. It was a tiny little cup of coffee grounds and a bit of water floating at the top. I couldnt drink it, but you might love it!!
