Quite agree with both here!! And there's also a profound difference between someone just "accepting" and "living with" you as you are...and someone that is really into you on every level. Being able to share everything together is so important.

You really hit the nail on the head here, thank you. I can't count the number of times I was told I was wrong for having my own opinions, and that's the least of it.

And if those opinions and preferences happen to be different from the majority...it's automatically assumed you are wrong. Really increases the sense of isolation...I know the feeling well. Raised in a family setting where you are expected to act and think as those around you do. Its really something special when you can find someone who is wonderfully unique, and celebrate that together...instead of trying to fit the mould and preconceived notions of others.

Pardon me, but to hell with anyone that thinks that I should not be able to live life on my on terms! I live life the way I want to. Other people live life the way they want to. That's the way it should be. No one should have power to dictate someone else's life. Whether you're wrong or right, it's your choice!

I agree with you in every detail but one. I don't even think that it's a choice. I think that it's the way we are. It's hardwired into us. I think that it's an even stronger reason to assert that no one should be allowed to dictate that we should change.

You're exactly right! It is hardwired into us at some point. This is who we are. If the rest of the world doesn't want to accept it, then I guess we are the outsiders. I'm fine with that!

I'm happy to be an outsider too!!!That's the main reason my name is Colonial Warrior!

I think that what you say here is true but I like to put it the other way around. They're the outsiders. They don't know how to find beauty, happiness and enjoyment in our world. I think that we truly find these things, or else we would look elsewhere. I know that I find slim people to be beautiful, even though they don't exert that magnetic attraction over me. So, I'm happy where I am, because for many of us there is more beauty here in our world than there is outside of it.

Perhaphs @AmyJo1976 (and I second her) was trying to say is that we are outsiders because we feel that way.

For me, I was an insider in this place but an outsider to the people outside here. Most of that kind of people think I am crazy for loving the way I love. But I don't care!

Exactly! We are outsiders from normal society as in our views and preferences differ from theirs.

I just wish to add something more; I just feel myself very blessed because I find beautifulness where I others can't. It cost me a lot of misinterpretation and misjudgement even false accusations from the people outside but I learn how to deal with it each and every day of my whole life!!!

Maybe I’m the odd one out but I’ve never felt like an outsider. Maybe because I’m just as attracted to skinny women as I am to chubby women. I’m straddling the line between two world views.

If I am an outsider I think it would be to the extreme ends of the body spectrum. I must admit I do find anorexic skinny, extreme body builders muscles types, and grossly overweight people to all be categorically disgusting to me on a physical attraction level. I’m not saying they are bad people or that they need to change in anyway. I’ve had great friendships with people from all walks of life body wise and wouldn’t want to change those memories in anyway.

I’ve often wondered how I can like 100 pound cute skinny stick girls to 250 pound curvy women with massive bellies who are both clearly unhealthy in their own ways. But be turned off completely by just going a little over those lines.

Sorry for the rant and soap boxing. I apologize to any mods if I broke form rules also.

When I was young yes I could enjoy sex without fat involved although it was t my preference. I never had a girlfriend who was t chubby or slightly fat. Today absolutely NO.....fat and weight gain are my triggers and over the years I like more and more Fat!

I didn’t read everything here.....but try getting him to gain for you. I know it’s a tough one....or maybe having him give you oral while you close your eyes and dream of him getting nice and Fat.

I second this, it is my experience too.
I think fat admiration is like a drug, you need more and more fat to get aroused.

When I was in my teens, I thought that fat was something different from sex but better. Then I started dating a thin guy and this made me realize that for me sex without fat just isn't possible.
