Pernell Roberts, famous for his TV roles as Adam Cartwright on Bonanza and Dr. John McIntyre on Trapper John, M.D., died at his Malibu, Calif., home on Sunday.
Roberts was 81. His wife, Eleanor Criswell, confirmed he died of cancer, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Ok i know most of you are going Pernell who? Well hell bear with this old gal. I grew up watching Bonanza and this was the brother i had the biggest crush on. Adam was dark and handsome, intelligent and witty and just what every woman wanted lol. He went on to star in the television show Trapper John MD and then went on to do mainly voice overs and commercials. All of my childhood stars are slowly dying off. :sad:
