Actually a few of us have spoken about it on one thread somewhere, I forget where.

Honestly, I found the fat suit extremely creepy and uncanny valley, but that's just me. I also wouldn't call that fat as such, like, he was chubby but thats about it.

Between the creepy fat suit and the utter distress and trauma of the character though, I didn't find it appealing at all, in a kink standpoint. I just felt really really sorry for the character and wanted to help him. =(

My mistake! I honestly didn't search beyond this forum, assuming it'd be under "Fat in Media" if anywhere.

But yeah, I wasn't much of a fan of the fat suit either. I was more into the idea than the execution. In my headcanon, he was just enjoying retirement as much as he could without thinking of the losses.

I do appreciate that it was Chris Hemsworth's idea for him to keep the weight in the final battle and not do a magical slim-down. Made me like him more.

His weight having nothing to do with his worthiness is an important message to have in such a massively popular movie. If I saw it when I was a chubby kid trying to feel good about myself, I would've been so happy.

Yeah, I did really like the message they were trying to get across. I didn't realise it was Chris Hemsworth's idea for him to keep the weight in the final battle but yeah, that is the only logical thing to do and it was fantastic seeing a fat superhero being taken seriously as a fighter and kicking ass. Thor is honestly a fantastic character anyway, so I loved that.

So that's my problem! I look like I'm wearing a fat suit! This all makes sense now.
*Yeah, I know that I'm no Chris Hemsworth (duh)*

I've only seen the first two Godfathers. They were such a complete story and the third had a less-than-stellar reputation so I didn't bother going any further.

Never seen Jaws though. Or any Rockys.

LOL! That would have had to be some kind of toilet for him to get up there! :p The one that got me was The Exorcist. Saw that when I was about 9 1/2. I was never scared of the dark, but I was scared out of my wits for about a year and a half after that! lol

I've never seen Star Wars, Godfather(s), Rocky(s), Jaws or most disney films.

I'm fantastic at completely missing people's jokes because of this. Also, the only film that really scared me was The Fly, coz I saw it through a door when I was a really little kid. The monkey getting turned inside out, and the guys eyeballs melting/jaw falling off at the end were absolutely horrifying to me.

Ironically, my sister went on to be a researcher in ultra-violent horror films so I ended up watching so many I became completely desensitised to them. Though it did mean there was 7 years of anguished screaming coming from our house as my sister watched her films for research!

Wait! You haven't seen Jaws? JAWS!?!?! You might want to watch that before your next foray to a beach. It could save your life.

Please at least watch the first Rocky move. It's loosely based on a true story (Ali vs Wepner).

And for the love of everything sacred Emmy, just watch the first 3 Star wars movies. All the rest are "meh".

If this becomes a 'movies we've never seen' thread, I will so embarrass myself lol. I haven't seen so many things that people say are must-sees. Also Fight Club is terrible, predictable, BORING. Yeah I said it.

Perhaps we need a "Movies with Lovely Fat Boys/Girls" thread with no details about the story, just who to watch for and if possible an hh:mm reference to go to.
