From time to time I come across threads that have to do with the Community or Bashes or Dims not being what it used to be and that things have changed but not necessarily for the better. That was not my experience this past weekend at The New Jersey Bash and I feel the need to thank so many wonderful, caring and thoughtful people for all the love and support I was shown this weekend. I know many times a person will go and not get that same level of caring or understanding and friendship and that can jade their perception of the Community or Bashes but all I can say to this is that it takes time and you have to be willing to put yourself out there even if its a situation that makes you uncomfortable. People can surprise you and will give back to you what you are willing to give in return. Each time I have gone I have met more and more people. I learn their stories and they learn mine. I end up discovering reflections of myself and my own experiences in each of the people I meet and it is things like this that show me I am not alone in the world.
