~BBW, Alternate Reality, ~MWG - A young woman is thrown into a reality, quite alien to her.

The Application
by Berry

Sarah Newman was relaxing in the bath, surrounded by candles. Everything was peaceful, she felt as if she could lay there forever. Suddenly she felt a sharp pain from her stomach, closely followed by a gargling sound. Sarah recognised this familiar message from her body. It meant she was hungry.

Sarah started to open her eyes and slowly manoeuvred her body into a position from which she could stand. She heaved her hefty body out of the bath and grabbed a nearby towel. Still in the mood to relax, she sat on the edge of the bath, bottom spilling over the sides and belly piling up, causing rolls to protrude. As she dried, she wondered how long it would take before her meal would be ready. As soon as she thought this, a man’s voice came from outside the room in answer to her question.

“Sarah! Dinner’s ready!” Cried the voice.

Although she couldn’t place the voice to a face, she recognised it as her lover’s and felt herself smile at the thought. She had been lucky to find somebody who loved her ample figure as much as she did. She felt the stomach pain again, drawing her out of the pleasant thought. She would like to relax but she wasn’t the one in control, her stomach was and it was hungry.

***
Sarah woke up from her dream, sweating. Although the dream had been nice while she experienced it, it she didn’t realise it was a nightmare until she woke from it. Ever since she had been a teenager, gaining weight had been her biggest fear and being fat was unthinkable. Sighing, she rolled out of bed and stood up, eyeing the small curve of her stomach.

She had recently put on a few pounds and she was sure her dream was linked to it. A strict upbringing from both her parents had caused Sarah to have two guidelines she would stick to, one for each parent. The first, from her father, was to always do what she thought was right. The second, from her mother, was to never get fat.

Her mother’s fear of having a fat daughter meant that Sarah had a regulated diet and an active lifestyle. After leaving home, her mother’s teachings obviously rubbed off on her as the active lifestyle and careful intake of food continued.

Sarah reached for a dressing gown and pulled it on, walking in front of the mirror. The lifestyle had definitely paid off and she had a stunning figure. The delicate features of her face, her shining brown hair, her toned body...Without realising, Sarah dragged her hands towards her stomach, pressing into the tiny layer of soft flesh. She sighed once again, she hadn’t changed her diet, she hadn’t changed her exercise regime and yet she had started to gain weight. As she pondered a teaching from her mother entered her head.

“Sometimes a woman’s metabolism slows down on its own. You might not be eating any more than usual and you might be doing the same amount as exercise but if your metabolism slows down then you will still gain weight.”

Sarah didn’t care if what her mother had said had any scientific support, her mother had taught her it and how could her mother be wrong?

As Sarah walked towards the dresser she wondered how she could quicken up her metabolism to its former glory. She dropped the robe for a moment, slipped on a matching pair of underwear before covering herself in the robe once more. She would check her emails before doing anything else today and left the bedroom to sit at her computer. She booted it up before deciding on a cup of coffee to wake her up and left the computer to its lengthy waking up process.

A few minutes later, Sarah returned with the coffee, resting it next to the keyboard as she sat down. She logged in and opened up her internet browser when a thought came to mind. Instead of the routine website for her email she typed in the address for a search engine. Once opened she entered the query: How to speed up metabolism. She clicked on the first site that came up in reply and was greeted with a small list of ways to boost her metabolism. Exercise regularly, resist overeating and don’t suddenly change eating habits. The rest of the list was riddled by wives tales and other get fit quick schemes. One of which caught her eye though, medication.

She looked at the word, deep in thought. There must be risks but surely medicine revealed a safe and definitive way to quicken her metabolism. Anyway what harm would a quick search on the internet do her? She headed back to the search engine and typed in a query tailored to her needs. The first link that greeted her was from something called MetaBoost. Ignoring it for the meantime, she opened up another page on the internet browser and searched for reviews on MetaBoost.

A few reviews later, happy with the people’s views on the pill, she went back to the page she had opened earlier. There was a month’s free trial as well, what harm could there be in that? She spotted the link to register and was greeted with a direct question: What is your current weight in pounds? Without thinking she entered her current weight, 128. However the page didn’t seem happy with this, informing her that she was too slim to try the trial. Frustrated, Sarah went back to the previous page and entered a higher weight, 150. Once again she was denied entry to the registration page.

A thought entered the back of her mind, thinking that maybe the medication would be dangerous for someone at her weight. Choosing to ignore the cautious idea, made blind by the thoughts of bringing her metabolism back to its former glory, she entered an even higher weight. 180. This time she was greeted with a form to register.

She entered the details and was taken to another form. This one seemed to be about her body. How long had she been overweight? She chose a random option from the drop down box, claiming to have put on weight during the end of her teenage years. Another question asked her what kind of body shape she thought she had. She could choose between hour glass, top heavy, bottom heavy or equally distributed. Once again she chose at random, equally distributed this time. A few similar questions later, all answered at random, it asked her for her weight once again. Making sure she entered the same number as earlier, 180, she clicked finish and was met with a quick prompt: Please ensure that all the information is correct. Information can’t be changed at a later date. Sarah’s eyes wandered past each word resting on the button agreeing with the statement. She clicked it.

Sarah was oblivious to what happened as she clicked the button. Her body started to swell around her, as if somebody was injecting fat directly into her body. Her hips widened slightly, as her bottom spread out underneath her, taking up more of the seat. Her thighs thickened, as did her upper arms. Her breasts also increased in size, neglecting to sag and remaining perky. Her face had a dramatic change as the delicate features softened out, changing the effect of well sculptured to cute. Her cheeks puffed out slightly underneath her hazelnut eyes and a double chin started to develop. Her stomach also bulged out further until gravity caused it to rest on the softer thighs, causing her potbelly to form a thick roll. Her underwear grew with her to accommodate her thicker form although her gown remained its usual size, feeling tight where she had tied it around her waist.

Although the change seemed to be slow, it was over in an instant and Sarah remained blind to her plump form, ignoring the tight feeling of the restrictive robe. Happy with herself for finding a way to sort out her loss of metabolism, Sarah reached for the mug next to the keyboard, while heading towards her emails. She sipped at the beverage, expecting the familiar taste of coffee but met with a sweet, sugary mixture. She stopped what she was doing on the computer and sampled the drink again. Still unable to place the familiar taste she took a larger gulp until it dawned on her. It was hot chocolate, something she hadn’t had since she was a child. She must have been so deep in thought that she made hot chocolate instead of coffee although she couldn’t remember buying any.

She ignored the mystery and went back to checking her emails. She had no new messages of interest, only junk. Strangely they all seemed to be about joining gyms or crash diets. She hoped that MetaBoost hadn’t placed her on any mailing lists; more junk mail was something she definitely didn’t want to deal with. She stood up while she switched the computer off and found herself hesitate for a moment. Movement had felt alien to her for a moment, harder even and then suddenly it felt like it had always been that way. A faint dizzy feeling entered her head at the same time as a feeling of hunger entered her stomach.

Blaming the hesitation on hunger she walked towards the table to grab a piece of fruit. Although after a few steps she thought that a piece of fruit didn’t seem like a good idea and changed direction, heading towards the kitchen. As she walked her thighs brushed each other after each step. Once again she felt a feeling of hesitation and ignored it after the strange feeling on her legs felt normal. She entered the kitchen, heading straight to the fridge. She was met with a shock upon opening it, however. Somebody had taken out all of her items and placed unhealthy food, bouncing with calories, in its place. Her vegetables had been replaced with chocolate; the green top of her milk had been replaced with blue, indicating full fat.

She felt dizzy once again but ignored it, bending over to check the freezer, only to find her raw ingredients replaced with ready meal pizzas, burgers and an assortment of desserts. She slammed the freezer door shut and frantically searched her cupboards for the smallest piece of healthy food. The cupboards were occupied by crisps, pop tarts, cookies and more unhealthy snacks. As a last resort Sarah ran back out to check the fruit bowl only to find it replaced by a smaller bowl, filled to the brim with M&Ms. The room started to spin around her and she ran to the bedroom, she needed to lie down. A thought entered Sarah’s head, was she going crazy? Although a moment later, another thought replied with a no and suddenly Sarah could remember buying all the food.

Running out of breath, Sarah slowed to a walk as she walked through the bedroom doorway. She went past the mirror, snatching a glimpse of her figure as she walked. Sarah took another step and froze. Slowly she turned around, met with her chubby profile. She was fat. In disbelief she grabbed at her body, hoping it wasn’t real, only to be met with the feeling of soft flesh oozing between her fingers. The shock of seeing herself plump made her blind to the fact that although she was larger, the weight definitely suited her. Her body was as beautiful as before, only in a different way. Suddenly thoughts and memories flooded into her mind, settling in next to her old ones.

Her memories were identical up until she left home, without her mother’s watchful eye her eating habits and lifestyle changed. Slowly the weight started to creep on. A few pounds this year, a few the next. The gain was too slow for her to notice it at the time until she was almost 20 years old and just over 150 lbs. She could remember the last year, how her metabolism had ground to a halt, how the weight piled on. She had gone from 150 lbs to 180 lbs in a year!

She could remember everything, even going to her doctor about the large gain over the year and being recommended a drug designed to speed up your metabolism named MetaBoost which she had just registered for. Yet she could still remember the real events, gaining a tiny bit of weight and trying to get MetaBoost to ensure she wouldn’t gain any more.

She didn’t understand how it had happened. She had been thrown out of her universe, into a parallel one and she didn’t know what to do. The dizzy spell returned and she sat on the bed, this time feeling her whole body as she moved, noticing the way her belly bunched up into rolls as usual and yet at the same time, totally alien to her. She lay back and fell into a dreamless sleep.

She was woken up by the sound of the phone ringing. She opened her eyes, hoping it had all been another bad dream, only to be met with her plump form. She heaved her body up and walked to the phone. Answering it she was met with a voice she knew only too well, her mother. A thought entered her head.

I hope she doesn’t go on at me about my weight again.

“Sarah!” Cried her mother.

“Yes?” Sarah sighed.

“Have you lost any weight!?”

Sarah thought about her answer. I can’t tell her I’m not really fat. She will think I’m crazy. I have the thoughts and memories; I can play fat Sarah for now.

“No.” She replied.

“You haven’t...gained any more have you?” Her mother gasped.

“Yes I have mother.” Sarah sighed again, for what seemed like that hundredth time that day. She felt like she was still a child.

“What do you weigh now?” Demanded her mother.

Sarah hesitated.

“180.”

“180!?”

“Yes mother.” Sarah could imagine her mother’s look of disbelief.

“You’re a pig. At least tell me you got off your fat butt and ordered that medication.”

“I registered for the trial this morning.”

“You’re going to need more than a trial to become normal, young lady.”

That was the final straw for Sarah. Memories of her mother bullying her since she started to gain weight filled her head.

“I’m not a child, mother!” She shouted down the phone. “I’m in charge of my own life now. You shouldn’t get say on the matter. I know I’m overweight; I look in the mirror every day. Anyway Bill told me the weight suits me the other day, I’m going out with him tonight.”

Sarah slammed the phone down before her mother could get a word in. Searching her memories she found the one of Bill asking her out. He had asked her when she was slim; it seemed he had asked her when she was fat as well. This really was a parallel universe. Where Bill had complimented her on having a “hot” body she had known he was superficial even if she agreed to go out for drinks. In this universe Bill was more of a friend, complimenting Sarah, when she spilled her heart to him, on having a voluptuous body. It seemed she was going out for a meal in this universe. Sarah smiled when she thought of how the smallest thing was different in this universe and yet there were so many similarities.

Maybe Sarah needed a break from her normal lifestyle anyway. She had no idea how to get it back anyway and maybe the best plan of action would be to wait and see if anything came up. She could treat it like a holiday from being slim. The more she thought about it, the more she liked the idea of being lazy, eating what she liked and doing what she wanted. After all, figuring out what to do would be so much work. Sarah didn’t realise it but her reality in this universe was being lazy and putting things off, she had already started to embrace it.

***
A couple of month later, Sarah lay in bed, deep in thought. She wasn’t sure why but she was weighing up the pros and cons of this new reality. When she had been slim everything had been superficial, her friendships all felt fake, based on popularity which she had always had because of her slim figure. She’d had lovers too but there had been no real romance in her life. In this life she could remember losing friends when she started to gain weight but they were replaced with friends who liked her because of her personality. She had friends she could talk to. She also had fewer lovers, only one previously. He had left her, breaking her heart because of her slow change in appearance and lifestyle.

She had been on a few dates with Bill however, a true romantic. All their dates had been based around eating, Sarah’s favourite hobby. They had got to know each other and Sarah was starting to experience real love. Bill was both a friend and a lover. The first night they slept together created a real bond. Unfortunately, work had called him out of town and he wouldn’t be back for a month or two.

Life definitely had more meaning in this world but she still felt uncomfortable with her body. The teachings of her mother rang true in both worlds, except in this one she hadn’t stuck to them. She felt guilt, the type you feel when you didn’t do your homework at school but a more extreme version. She also thought she looked ugly, unsure why Bill could even look at her body, let alone kiss her.

She got out of bed and walked towards the mirror. The eating habits, added to the dates with Bill had added up over the month, resting on her body. She had searched the house for a set of scales, eventually finding one hidden in the back of a cupboard. The dial had rested on 192 lbs. The thought of being so close to the 200 mark sent a chill down Sarah’s spine and her thoughts went to the unopened package from MetaBoost. She had chosen to trust her metabolism, hoping it sped up again by itself although she was starting to question the act now.

Dragged out of her thoughts by a feeling of hunger she went into the kitchen, neglecting to dress, repulsed by the idea of extra work. She had definitely taken the idea of acting on her laziness to heart. In fact, she also enjoyed the sensation of overeating as well. The tastes of real food, not salad and fruit. The feeling of being full, feeling her waistband tighten with each bite, or when she gorged while naked (a frequent event) the feeling of her hanging belly harden and eventually protrude further. She was almost turned on from eating, in fact, nights with Bill had been even better when food had been included in the bedroom.

***
Another month passed when she heard her doorbell ring. Knowing that Bill wouldn’t be back for another month and not expecting any friends she pulled on some clothes, ignoring the tightness, and went to answer the door. Her mother was greeted to a site she had never dared to think of. Her daughter stood in front of her, fatter then she could have ever imagined somebody with the same blood running through them. A chubby face, full lips with a nervous smile, prominent double chin. Her clothes were straining at the seams; she could see her daughter’s large breasts pressing against the restrictive clothing and could see her belly peeking out from underneath the blouse.

Her jeans were in just as bad shape, wide hips and thick thighs fighting a waistband which had no chance of winning. She couldn’t see her daughter’s behind but she knew it would be bigger then she remembered. She knew that she should be repulsed by her daughter’s act of destroying her own body but as much as she tried to trick herself into thinking she was disgusting, she couldn’t do it. Her daughter was as beautiful as she could remember, more so. Added weight had done nothing to sabotage her looks. Layers of soft fat made her features more delicate, cuter. Her figure was still perfect, the weight had been equally distributed everywhere.

Her mother opened her mouth, trying to insult her daughter but she couldn’t find the words. Instead she said something totally different.

“You’re beautiful.” She could see how her daughter’s nervous smile became genuine after the words.

“Really? Are you okay with it?” Sarah asked.

“It depends, are you happy?” Her mother replied, speaking out of love instead of her usual thoughts.

Sarah thought about it, she had friends, she had a boyfriend, everything she did felt right and after being complimented by her mother, it dawned on her that she really was still beautiful. She felt comfortable.

“Yes.” She replied, smiling one again.

“Good, then I won’t say what I originally came here to say. I’m sorry for the way I treated you. You were right to say what you said over the phone.”

“You’re really comfortable with me being whatever weight I want?” Sarah asked.

“Well maybe not too fat, you don’t want to be 200 lbs and realise you don’t like it.”

Sarah’s smile became a grin.

“Mum, I am already over 200 lbs!”

Sarah relaxed in the bath, surrounded by candles.

“Sarah! Dinner’s ready!” Cried Bill.

She smiled as she thought about her lover. She had been lucky to find somebody who loved her ample figure as much as she did. She felt the stomach pain again, drawing her out of the pleasant thought. She stood up and walked towards the mirror. It had been a year since she had been thrown into this world and she was happier then she had ever been when she was slim. She had continued to gain weight at first but it had slowed down when she went over 250 lbs, resting somewhere around 260. She smiled at her wide figure, the more weight she put on the more beautiful she felt she became.

She slipped on her new robe, bought that day as an anniversary gift from Bill, celebrating a year since their first date and secretly, it marked the anniversary of the day she was brought into this reality. She had everything she wanted, her mother was still okay with her weight, she was comfortable, she had good friends and a good man and best of all, her meal was ready.
