The Girl Who Ate and Ate
by Flabby Abbi

This young girl, you wouldn't believe,
how much she ate and ate.
As much as she could, for as long as she could,
she devoured plate after plate

Of cakes, dates, fries, pies, eclairs,
as much as she would dare.
Her mother would watch as the girl munched and crunched and lunched,
and dined and ate all the time on the products of her labour.

Their kitchen was full, of all things full,
of fat, and sugar and cream.
And when she slept, it was food of which she would dream,
but not for long you see.

As in her sleep, she would get hungry and weep,
about all the food she dreamt.
So when she awoke, downstairs she went,
to the kitchen to eat some more.

A teenager she was, but she did not love,
boys, makeup and sleep.
No, she loved food, food she loved.
And as much as possible she loved.

And soon her eating told, in forms of bold,
clumps of flab and fat.
On her body came, a list too long to name,
vast amounts of the stuff.

Each time she ate, she would gain more weight,
it seemed to all who saw.
Many would travel, up the long gravelled,
track to her house.

And with them they brought, the food she sought,
and in her mouth it went.
Thousands each day, would come and stay,
and watch as she devoured their gifts.

What a wondrous sight, to all those that might,
care to see her grow.
Such was the speed, it seemed she did not need,
to eat all she did.

But how hungry she was, and so great was her love,
of food so creamy and nice.
So grow she did grow, and how it did show,
to all that saw her eat.

Her belly so fat, lay on the mat,
she had sat down on long ago.
And her behind so round, women frowned,
at how their’s barely compared.

Breasts which sagged, in bras which lacked,
the strength to keep them up.
Hips so wide, she wore them with pride,
and she barely had room to move.

Though move she did not, because she had forgot,
how quickly she had gained.
So large was she, to move would need,
a crane or two or three.

But she smiled all along, to the great throng,
of admiring men and women.
Women tried to match, though they couldn't catch,
her in her gaining state.

Tens of pounds a day, there never was delay,
in her weight gain.
And still to this time, she sits there growing fine,
in a room too small to keep.

To keep her in, it's too thin,
so they moved her out of it.
And out of it, into a pit, so vast
you'd think it was a crater.

And there she eats, various meats,
and cakes and delicacies too.
Surrounded by others, daughters and mothers,
who join her in her feast.

Big are they too, but you'd never confuse,
them with the girl who ate.
The girl who ate, devouring plate after plate,
will she ever stop?
