It may sound a contradiction to what the entire genre is all about, but I've been personally working with this kind of framing for years and I can confidently say for certain that it can be easily accomplished. (Of course, it stems from me not having any kind of various fetishes but I digress.) I believe if anyone has the mindset or goal to write whatever story they intend to tell, then it's full game. I do follow the possibilty that weight gain fiction can have many kinds of stories outside its erotic appeal than initially.

With that said, I wrote plenty of stories were the characters have more nuanced thoughts and veiws on their gaining that effected their life in some kind of way; whether it's strengthening bonds with another, be it family or friends, being confident with oneself, or finding comfort in indulgence as something positive. I feel that these viewpoints are prevalent on a more personal level and read as more relatable. Weight gain fiction can either read as stories with full narratives or fantasies for the reader to indulge, depending how the gaining is all prevalent, so I think it's safe to say non-erotic WG fiction is totally in the former while also going in a different direction entirely.

Again, personally, I think it's interesting to see what others think about this particular context even if it is mostly seen as erotica.
