The Late Mariska Veres A Plus Size Icon

You might remember back in 1969 into 1970, a group called Shocking Blue from the Netherlands I think it was had out a hit song cal;ed Venus. It was later covered by Bananarama. Their lead singer was Mariska Veres who sadly passed on due to cancer a coupla yrs or so ago.

I found some videos of them & noticed in some more recent videos of them that she had become plus sized in later yrs. I found me another plus sized icon like Mama Cass Elliot. I noticed some of the stuff she wore in the old videos are stuff that's back in style now. They claim she & the group never knew any English and learned the words to their songs phonetically. I have the 45 of their Venus song & their album with it on it. Got them yrs ago.
