Lizzo is being sued after allegedly pressuring and weight shaming her former dancers, according to a lawsuit obtained by USA TODAY.
Lizzo and her role for fat positivity has been discussed several times here - so the most recent developments also have their place here.
What's everybody's take?
File it under public personae who advocate for my/our cause can still be unpleasant people IRL?
Is it another element in the general backlash against all things fat acceptance?
Personally, I haven't been able to really make up my mind - maybe because I never was all that convinced of Lizzo as a positive role-model to begin with.
But I do worry that it is another low blow for strong fat public figures, their visibility and how they are perceived.
