It is with a heavy heart that I am writing to inform the Dimensions community of the passing of Victoria "Vicky" Weldon of the Detroit, Michigan area. It appears that Vicky died in her sleep over the weekend. She had been having some health issues over the past 18 months, and had been working out over the past 5 years to make herself healthier, even though when she started, she did not have health issues. I am sure that she would want me to let everyone know that her death is NOT attributed to her size or weight, which had diminished substantially over the last 5-7 years.
Vicky was had attended many NAAFA and other BBW events in the Midwest and East Coast over the past 20+ years, the last of which I believe was the 2005 NAAFA Convention in San Mateo, California.
She was a kind and caring individual and a wonderful friend to those who knew her.
May she rest in peace.
