Peter Tork passed away.
Oh no, I’m dreading the day we lose another Beatle!! So sad RIP
I always like the Monkees.
I know- so so sad- he and Davy - hung with him a couple of times- Peter was a very kind person
That had to have been a trip!
I heard a great archived interview on CBC radio with Peter Tork yesterday
I hadn't heard this sad news. My condolences to Peter's family and friends. I've never had the pleasure of meeting any of the Monkees but Peter always struck me as a nice guy and I was big fan of their TV show when I was a kid. I'll have to dig out an album or two of theirs and play them tonight.
U r right!!
I knew Peter Tork and his passing hit me hard, as did the passing of Davy Jones seven years ago. I have great memories of Peter and Davy which I will always cherish.
I’m glad I got to know Peter in my life, both as a fan and a friend. May his sweet soul be at rest.
(I wrote a book about The Monkees from my experiences as a fan and there are other fans stories in it. If anyone is interested you can pm me).
I have always found Tork to be the most attractive one of the group, FWIW. RIP
From 1982 at The Speakeasy in Greenwich Village. I’m certain I was at this show!

If you are a true Monkees fan you need RV's book!It is a fantastic read. You can really feel the love he has for them.(I know because I've got a copy... )As he said if interested PM him!
Thanks for your kind words, BB.
Wow! A shout out from Paul Stanley- it’s like a mash up of my childhood favorites- the monkees and kiss. How great is the music and monkees (and dims) fandom community! Thank you for posting, RVGleason
Thanks Mainegal. I think this song well applies to fans of The Monkees, KISS, and Rock/Pop fandom in general.
Call it as I see it my friend!
Found this in my stuff today- 1999, guitar center in Framingham, ma and ticket stub from UMass Lowell
