Gas has gone up about ten cents per liter (that's how it's sold here), which means regular costs me almost $5 per gallon here: 1.25 x 3.7 = 4.75. Yee. Haw.
What???? In Canada?? But wouldn't that equal out to what we're paying here in the U.S. Tina, seeing as how the U.S. dollar is worth so little now?

£42.00 to fill the tank of my little 1L Peugeot 106, so thats about $84.00.

If I could get rid of my car I would, sadly family stuff means I need that costly baby 24/7. One day though I would like to just get around on just my bike or the bus.

ETA: Thats petrol, not diesel.

When I grew up in Switzerland, I used to pay about a franc a liter, which then translated into about a buck a gallon because the dollar was very high. Now the dollar is very low and in Swiss money, 35 years later, I once again pay about a franc a liter. An equally absurd situation is that early on in my American career I earned a near fortune when converted to Swiss money. I make much more now in terms of dollars, but converted into Swiss francs, I'd be a pauper.

Tank holds 20 gallons, but I've never put more than 18 in at one time. Did that last week and it cost me just over $60. I believe it was $3.39/gallon.

Thank goodness I don't drive much...generally buy a tank every 3 - 4 weeks. Still, I remember when I first got this vehicle...it used to be about $25 - $27 a tank.

I'd say it gets about 20 mpg.

Now I'm back at uni I don't drive, but when I'm a home I share my mum's 1L Toyota Yaris. Costs a little over £40 to fill it up coz petrol's about £1.10 per litre where I live.
