    Reference according to BMI 20-24.9 is normal, 25-29.9 overweight, 30 + is obese, just to give it some scale

    120=20
    150=25
    180=30
    210=34.9
    260=43.3
    280=46.6
    285=47.4
    300=49.9

    To me 120 looks anemic, like let me get you to a McDonald's immediately

    150 looks thin, tight, and healthy

    180 doesn't look fat, just a bit curvy

    210 is getting a cute amount of chub, to the point where there should be a nice sexy roll developing when she takes a seat

    240 is about ideal

    260 is the high end of ideal

    285 is what it would take to equal my bmi at 6' and 350 lbs

    300 ( double max healthy weight), is about as high as im comfortable with

    Anywhere from 225-265 is my sweet zone, 180 as a low, 300 as a high

    My final answer is...

    247

    A nice 97 lbs past that 25 BMI number, fat but not quite as fat as me, I'd be very comfortable with a woman with those numbers and no problem with lovehandles, pooched out lower tummy, saggy boobs, chubby thighs, buffalo butt, cellulite, etc.

    number is one thing, but an apple and a pear can look very different carrying the same weight, that has a lot to do and it all depends what kind of shape do you prefer as well

    Very true, I was trying to be very general in nature, BMI is far from perfect, but we all know the difference between a 20,30,40 etc. BMI. A 20 can't be an apple or a pear, more of a banana

    Most in the general population would say something like 112lbs, a realistic woman that strives to be fit and trim might say 135-155

    A dimensions gal might say a number starting with a 2 or even a 3!

    I'm not even certain if I prefer an apple or a pear, sometimes it's not so easy to classify a figure as either extreme, I love a soft tummy, but a great (__*__) and thighs are awesome as well

    I guess, I'll opt for the combo package !

    No, you absolutely do get different body types, even in skinny people. It's based on skeletal structure as much as anything. I had a friend growing up that was 5'10, 90 lbs and a size 12 in pants (8 in USA sizes) just because of how wide her hipbones were. Her upper body was several sizes smaller, so very much pear shaped. Also, I was far more of a dramatic hourglass shape at that BMI than I am now, 14 inch difference between my waist and hips/chest. Not all skinny girls are shaped like bananas, plenty are curvy even at a low BMI. Same with apple shapes, my mother was 110 lbs most of her life and always apple shaped even though she was thin (big breasts, wide shoulders, narrow hips, no waist etc).

    First, BMI isn’t “far from perfect” it’s utter garbage. It considers only two inputs: height and weight. Other factors such as organ tissue, muscle tissue, and bone density get left out. The result is a gross overstating of overweight and obesity rates. Show me a person who says he can derive a solid mental picture of a person’s build using just BMI and I’ll show you someone who’s comical misinformed and about to make a fool of himself!

    BFP is an infinitely superior metric for gauging health. If I am given someone’s BFP I can at least develop an idea of how fit he or she is, though with just BPF you still have too much variation in how people are built to be able to develop a mental image without more information.

    So when you say a 20 BMI can’t be an apple or a pear I’ll have to politely disagree. Even at the same height and weight there is literally no limit to the variation you may see in women’s body types. I tried to find this picture but I couldn’t, of about 5 or 6 women all worth he same height and weight. Not a single one would be able to wear the others’ clothes!

    Is it BFP or BPF ?. I am not familiar with the term

    I only use BMI in the toughest terms, like...

    20=really skinny
    30=a bit plump, kind of average
    40=clearly fat

    There is an obvious visual diffence between those 3 points, I don't go much beyond that with that number alone, it's just a very basic and flawed quick way to evaluate someone

    BFP = body fat percentage. It’s harder to measure than BMI because some actual thought goes into it. There’s a few different ways to do it, with a water displacement test long being considered the gold standard. Now they have a few different scanning options that can discern different types of tissue and bone and tell you what percentage of your body is fat, muscle, bone, organs, and water.

    Well average is supposedly 5'3.5"

    5' 5" was just an example

    My first wife was 4'11"

    I'm fine with 4'10"- 6'6", but at 6', I don't meet many women taller than me, 6'4" or something would be kind of weird, but I'd be okay with it, or 5-1,5-9, whatever

    For the record I didn’t share her height to solicit your approval.

    I get some of this thread is simply you sharing your preference. But the delivery reeks of “this is what I like, I don’t understand why women don’t conform to it.”

    That’s...

    Gross.
