Since there's a thread on Canadian quirks I thought I'd try to start one on Aussie Quirks. This is a call for all Aussies on the forums to list what they do that is stereotypically Aussie :happy:
I use the BBQ outside sometimes, even when Im eating inside my house.
I love chicken schnitzel, lamb and steak (especially when BBQed).
I use the words kebab and souvlaki interchangeably and love to eat both

I say walkabout.
I write in British English on some days and American on others.
I frequently invite acquaintances over to my place, who Ive only just met.
I cant stand most Aussie movies (typical of many Aussies, strangely enough).
I know of many more American Presidents than I do Australian Prime Ministers (also typical of many Aussies, strangely enough).
I use the word 'chips' more than 'fries', but not exclusivly.
I pick and choose from American and British pronunciation.
I shorten people's names down if theirs is longer than two syllables.
...so fellow Aussies help me prove we're just as quirky as the Canadians
