I know darn well, we in the South are not the only ones freezing right now. But it is much colder here than it usually is, ever.
So we have the heat on, but have been cooking more so that we can put the oven on and use some of that heat. I am wondering if anyone else has been cooking more to get heat from the oven. If so, whatcha got cooking?
Larry made brunch this morning and baked the bacon. This afternoon we are going to bake a pineapple cake and I am putting a pot of soup on the stove for dinner.
Tonite we will be rubbing a nice hunk of boston butt so that tomorrow we can cook it low and slow. The oven will be on for hours and hours and it will make the kitchen area nice and toasty and fill the house with delicious smells.
Anyone else cooking more than usual because of this cold snap?
