Anyone from Dims attending the winter olympics?

I'm not, but my lucky uncle (who works for Maclean's magazine) gets to go for free and cover everything. Not fair! I'm really looking forward to the games. I took the day off work for the opening ceremonies haha.

    Bash in Canada???

it seems to me that most bashes are in the northeast or southern united states....albeit an interesting location, alberta is kind of far from those "hotspots" i think for a canadian bash to be successful it would need to be somewhere like toronto, hamilton, niagara falls, or montreal...touristy...

Do you think DIMS should have an FA board?

as an FA, i can say that this board already offers me everything i need. The only possible benefit could be that it would be (as previously mentioned) a place for us to voice our honest opinions without being reprimanded for them. Personally though, I think the board is fine as it is...

The last movie you watched... and score out of ten - Part 1

Milk: 8/10 it starts off a little slow, but the superb actors (espectially Sean Penn and Emile Hirsch) carry the film to an emotionally powerful ending. Definitely worth seeing, and definitely a better picture than Slumdog Millionaire.

How much do you tip when you eat at a restaurant?

i usually round up to the next $5 (within reason). for example, if the bill is $20 or something like $19.36 i'll leave $25. i'm not sure if thats a fair tip or not (i think the standard is 15-20%). i don't think it's right that we should have to tip, but i don't feel right not tipping - so...

The One NON-DIMS RELATED Thing Annoying You Most Right Now Part Trois.

the fact that heath ledger is just going to be given the oscar tonight because of his death and not his actual performance. he was good as the joker, yeah....but would he have been even considered for a nomination if he had've lived? philip seymour hoffman is twenty times better in "doubt"...
