Recent Picture of You Part XI !

It's been AGES since I've been on these boards, hi all!! Here's a recent picture.

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Storytelling. Q: You're given $10,000 to spend on yourself. Where do you go and how do you spend it?

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Nah. Far too charismatic and intelligent (and handsome!) to be another Arnold. Q: Text or call?

    Winter Olympics 2014

I was unable to give you more rep, but yes. Thank you. We could move the games to somewhere that's hosted before, that still has the facilities for the amount of people expected. Granted, I don't know what the logistics of such a move would be, but good grief. We could at least try.

    Winter Olympics 2014

Same line of reasoning applied to the 1936 Olympics in Berlin. That worked out well, didn't it? Yep. Developed nations need to take a stand for equal treatment, end of story. Homosexuals in Russia aren't allowed to be homosexual. 10% (give or take) of the population isn't allowed to be who...

    Winter Olympics 2014

I'm rather shocked no one's discussed the MASSIVE controversy surrounding this year's Olympics in Sochi, Russia--at least as far as I've seen. The horrific laws Putin pushed through against homosexuals recently are eerily reminiscent of those present in Nazi Germany during the 1936 Olympics...

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Vanilla, usually. Or peach. Or the local supermarket generic line has an AMAZING one called Brambleberry Pie with blackberries and pie crust mixed in. Q: Favorite thirst quencher? Besides water... ;)

    Whatchu got?!?

I'm very well-read, a great cook and sexually adventurous. I'm also studying to be a therapist. Any takers? :D

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Only as a joke! Q: Do you have any pets, or do you wish to? Names, types?

Should Maryland have a death penalty?

In my opinion, killing another person is wrong. No matter what excuse you give it. I understand that sometimes it's unavoidable, but two wrongs never, ever make a right. Killing a killer doesn't prove justice is done, it just proves, as another said, that murder is okay sometimes.

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: It really depends on how drunk/exhausted I am! Q: What's for dinner tonight? I'm making these because I've had a SHITTASTIC past two days and I'm craving carbs and cheese and sugar.

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Some things better than expected, some worse. Fairly average summer! Mostly glad I'm starting my master's program in September. :) Q: If you have a degree, what's it in? Any desire to go back to school?

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: At the end of both Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler and The Owl Service by Alan Garner. Unimpressed with the first, though I was very intrigued with the plot. Awkwardly written, too many stereotypes, bad metaphors & similes. The latter, however, is a fabulous low fantasy integrating myth and...

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: The death rays from the golden orb in the sky. Also, sand. People who talk about the weather when it's 110+ as "wonderful". Coconut-scented sunscreen. Wildfires. Inability to open windows at night because it hasn't cooled down past 85. I hate summertime. Q: Favorite kind of popsicle?

    Things we can't eat

I haven't spoken to a doctor about it (probs should...), but I can't eat raw carrots or zucchini without getting a massive stomach ache that lasts for hours. Same thing happened the last time I ate hummus, but I've yet to figure out what exactly set off my tummy! And I really hate seafood...

What's on the dinner table tonight?

We're having a 90s themed 4th of July party... so the menu includes such (really, really awful-for-you) snacks like Kraft Macaroni, Gushers, Capri Sun, Red Vines, Doritos, and hot dogs. Clearly, much heavy drinking will ensue.

    Summertime Classics: Potato Salad

Mine is a family heirloom--mayo based with green onions, lots of hard boiled eggs and a secret ingredient. :)

    Truths-Answer a question/Ask a question.

A: Adore them! Go as often as possible. Except for natural history museums... taxidermy and dinosaur skeletons give me the heebies. Q: Do you have any irrational fears?

    Chicken Breasts, the Poll

I prefer dark meat, but I'll eat the breast too! Fried, roasted, baked--all to keep that chicken boob as tender as possible. ;) Not particularly fond of grilled, however. It's always over-marinated and dry.

How do you cope with depression?

Therapy. One hour weekly. I've learned how to be more comfortable with being sad, with shedding tears and my own vulnerability--but I don't have a chemical depression that would require meds to balance my brain. Mine is trauma related--when that specific event is triggered, so is my depression...
