I just wanted to share some info from my nurse practitioner. She's really into supplements - especially when the research backs up the "buzz".
She has told me to take 20,000 IU of Vitamin D3 for three months, maybe tapering down to 10,000 IU after that. It reportedly helps with mood and energy in large doses. She said it also has been /really/ helpful for people struggling with fibromyalgia! I'm looking for 5000 IU tablets now, so I only have to take 4 per day (as opposed to 20 of the 1000 IU! eeek!!).
Anyway, just passing along what I learned to whomever might be interested.
