Apparently illegals were hired to do jobs Americans will do. Meat processing plants in eastern North Carolina were hiring illegals to work for less than minimum wage and pushing out American citizens. After a few ICE raids and closer monitoring the plants are hiring the local workforce including many blacks. This aspect of illegal immigration has been ignored completely. Unskilled illegal workers take the entry level jobs that unskilled American workers used to take, exacerbating black poverty.
Until we punish they employers for hiring illegals some will try to skirt the system.
