As a genre, jazz dance includes almost anything, from smooth lyrical sweeps to
sultry salsa-inspired steps to the high kicks and brash hips that permeate
Broadway dance musicals. This beginning class will introduce you to the
basics--steps, kicks, turns--and give you the confidence to keep exploring
jazz dance. We will be learning a new routine, so bring comfortable shoes
(sneakers or jazz shoes) and lots of water, and be ready to MOVE!
