Every so often on these boards there are stories about ladies who have been compromised and embarrassed by their weight ie broken chairs, split clothes and so forth.

While not unsympathetic, I can't say as I ever felt much empathy either. Never really gave it much thought.

Well, no more! I was sitting on a foot stool today, putting on some trainers and when I got up, the damn thing broke under me. At 180-190 lbs, I'm not that big and since I've had the thing for 20 years, it's probably just old age and thin chipboard.

Nonetheless, I am embarrassed. Sisters, from now on, I feel your pain!
