" Sharron Angle, Nevada’s Republican candidate for Senate, has a new ad today attacking her opponent Sen. Harry Reid (D-Nev.) on his positions on illegal immigration. The ad is pretty similar to her one from Oct. 5, which was called “anti-Latino” and “race baiting” for its images of menacing-looking Latino men. Angle claimed to not realize they were Latino at all, which will perhaps be her defense for the series of images in her latest spot. "

She has said that those men in the ad " looked Asian ". So, all those scared white faces in the ad have another group to watch out for!! Phew...glad you cleared up the misunderstanding that you, a candidate from Nevada, were even implying that Mexicans ( and other brown folk from down that part of the world ) were the focus of that ad.
" Millions of illegal aliens, swarming across our border, joining violent gangs, forcing families to live in fear,” says the ad. "
Millions of illegal aliens are coming here and joining violent gangs??! Whatever a person's stance is on illegal immigration, surely anyone good and decent is appalled by such outright lies and ugliness. This goes far past candidates attacking their opponents. This is continuing beating the drum of ' fear that person who looks different than you, because they are the people who are taking things from you '. Make no mistake. Also, touch on peoples' boogeyman fears that creep along the edges of their brains , no matter how unreasonable or incorrect...and you have a powerful tool. Age old scare tactics. Sick.
Living in Nevada, Angle must never get a good nights sleep. Even the Sleepytime tea isn't helping.
* and not being a big fan of Harry Reid's...this isn't about partisan politics, which I know will throw some
