Lately I have become kind of a comic book geek. (As you can surely tell by my Question action figure avatar and refernce to the Justice Unlimited cartoon in my memeber status).

Back to the point, a couple of months ago I stumbled on a hardback of a Marvel series named Runaways that have never heard of. The comic about a group of teens in the Marvel universe who discover their own parents are sercertly supervillians. The teens band to together to fight their parents both out of a spirit of rebellion and moral judgemnt for their parents' crime

I devored it because it had intresting characthers and what I feel to be realstic portyals of teens. Now I get to the part of my post that actually has to do with Size Acceptance. One of the kids is Gertrude Yorkes,a cute sarcastic, socialist, and overweight girl. She is currently my favorite comic character.

The art (espically the covers she is featured in) sometimes has trouble showing that Gert is overweight which is a disappointing and the offical Marvel website states that she is only 125 lbs.

here is one of the better momments in Gert history. She is debating with Spider-Man after he used his famous "With greath power comes great responsibility"
