No fat no flavor
What a lovely day. It was unseasonably warm here in New Jersey and the leaves are at full color. Absolutely glorious!
My roommate and I decided to take a leaf-peeping drive with a destination of a wonderful country food market called Delicious Orchards which is known for upscale produce and home baked pies.
We stepped out of our front door and this is what we saw:
Lovely. Just lovely. We took the drive and thoroughly enjoyed the hues of autumn and then did some shopping at Delicious Orchards. We stopped at their outside snack bar where we each got a dish of pumpkin ice cream :eat1: and I also got a large apple cider slush. :eat2: The pumpkin and apple flavors were so perfect on a day like today. And the day was warm enough to be able to enjoy cool treats.
I sat there feeling so happy, like I was totally absorbing the wonderful fall day...and the wonderful fall flavors!
Later we went to TGIFridays where I got Jack Daniels baby back ribs and shrimp. The flavors were perfect for today.
Later (when I have room in my tummy!) I will be having some pumpkin pie and some "cheese pie" (like a soft creamy cheese cake in a pie tin) which I brought home from Delicious Orchards.
Does it get any better than this??
Anyone else enjoying Fall treats this weekend?
