I recall when Hyde Park was taken down. It was claimed the reason was some posters could not follow the rules. Others, like myself, claimed the rules were fine; but they were not always fairly and uniformly enforced. For example, the poster who was banned temporarily until after the election with no apparent violations of any of the rules.
When the Soap Box was set up it had it's own rules. If a post was questioned on whether it violated the rules, the post would be temporarily removed and a message posted that post was subject to review by three Mods.
If two of the Mods felt the post was not in violation; then it would be restored along with a message explaining what happened.
If on the other hand, two of the Mods felt the post was in violation then the post would be permanently removed along with a message to that effect along with either a yellow card or red card issued.
Recently, in the Political Image Thread two different posters seemed to endorse physical violence against people that they disagreed with politically. Now the posts are gone. There was never a message that they were removed subject to Mod review. There was never a message that such a review took place. Nor were yellow or red cards issued.
So were the rules bent? Were the offensive posts voluntarily removed after a PM exchange between a Mod(s) and the posters?
