Good Morning All....
I just finished reading a story on the front page of MSN. The entire gist of the article is the world would be much better off if there were no fat people! All of this is "scientifically researched" of course. Essentially what it said was if there were no fat people, diabetes would essentially go away, the price of gas would go down because so much fuel is wasted to carry around fat people, the price of clothing would go down because the fat people wouldn't be using up so much of it to clothe themselves. It went on to list all sort of wonderful things that would happen if there were no fat people. Even global warming might go away. I don't happen to believe in global warming to begin with, but hey, it'll go away if fat people go away. If you read the article, we would all immediately be transported to nirvana if only there were no fat people. Can you imagine writing such a piece? It is documented that black americans suffer more from sickle-cell anemia, high blood pressure and heart disease than other races. Can you imagine the uproar if someone wrote that these diseases would go away, and the world would be a better place if there were no black people!!! I was dumbfounded that MSN would print such a biased article as fact and then display it as a "front page" story. I am very upset by this. If you'd like to see this story, just go to the MSN front page and take a look. This just ruined my day.
